01 The Leaderboard

Our system revolves around the leaderboard, which showcases top dancers based on their accumulated points. Compete, win, and watch your ranking rise.

Points are earned by placing in competitions - but not all competitions are created equal. The size of your competition determines the tier, and the tier determines your points.

02 The Three Tiers

Winners of competitions earn points that contribute to their leaderboard ranking. The number of points awarded depends on the size of the competition — larger competitions with more participants offer higher point rewards.

Competitions are categorized into three tiers based on the number of participants per role (lead/follow) in each competition level.

Tier 1

Small

5-15participants per role
Points Awarded
1st Place 5 pts
2nd Place 3 pts
3rd Place 1 pts
Tier 2

Medium

16-39participants per role
Points Awarded
1st Place 10 pts
2nd Place 6 pts
3rd Place 4 pts
Finalists 1 pts
Tier 3

Large

40+participants per role
Points Awarded
1st Place 15 pts
2nd Place 10 pts
3rd Place 6 pts
Finalists 2 pts
Example: If there are 5 leads and 15 follows in the beginner level, the follows would gain Tier 2 points whereas leads will get Tier 1 points.

03 Level Progression

Your accumulated points contribute towards your overall competition level

Our judging philosophy celebrates the spontaneity and authentic connection of social dancing. Judges evaluate what's appropriate for your level and role.
